Review by hotel critic
During my recent adventure to Kyoto, I discovered Kyoraku, a charming spot that harmonizes comfort and practicality. With ample space for our family of three-thanks to the fully equipped kitchenette and cozy sitting area-this hotel proved to be a practical base for exploring the city's beauty. The location is central; we enjoyed walks to iconic sites like Kiyomizu-dera and Gion, which were just a short stroll away. Convenience stores nearby offered easy access to snacks and drinks, perfect for fueling our travels. The room was equipped with air conditioning and good Wi-Fi, which made our stay quite pleasant. I appreciated the flat-screen TV and access to Netflix after a day of sightseeing. The owner, Alex, was particularly helpful in facilitating our needs, even managing our luggage transfer seamlessly. While Kyoraku provides essential luxury-like free toiletries and soundproofed rooms-it is also competitively priced when considering the space, amenities, and location. For those on a budget, this hotel offers a commendable balance of value and comfort.
